Frank DeGods, the creator behind the DeGods NFT project, has abruptly resigned his post as CEO. The announcement comes after what had been a rather controversial year for DeGods and its spinoff projects. Born as Frank DeGods, Rohun Vora launched DeGods and y00ts in 2021.

Vora has since announced his departure, implying that the preoccupation with the “Frank DeGods” brand was preventing DeGods from breaking free and moving forward. This decision comes at a time when Vora’s role in the “LA Vape Cabal” and in the creation of the LIBRA token has come under scrutiny.

Vora, Faze Banks (Richard Bengtson), and Threadguy (Michael Jerome) briefly dipped their toes in the Javier Milei-backed LIBRA token. They took this step only after multimillion dollar allegations of insider trading were reported.

Frank DeGods has repeatedly denied any misconduct and asserted there are no investigations into his conduct.

On February 17, 2025, he went on Twitter to respond to their allegations, insisting that he never got any inside tips about a launch. He reinforced his defenses by asserting, once more, that he did nothing wrong in a tweet on May 12th, 2025.

The biggest controversies lies with a leaked one-on-one with Haliey Welch, facilitated by the Cabal. This interview sparked severe criticism against the plan to launch a Hawk Tuah token. Even amid all the controversies, Hayden Davis still stands to take home a lot of money with the LIBRA and MELANIA memecoins.
